When the surgery is closed your call reaches an answer machine message, giving the following information: 

If you need urgent medical attention or advice, please contact the appropriate service below:

• call 999 if you have a life threatening emergency such as severe bleeding, collapse, unconsciousness and severe chest pains
• call the out of hours service on ​111, if you require urgent medical attention or for health advice and information.
